Best pizza in Kennett! We always get take out - great chewy crust with plenty of cheesy deliciousness and toppings. They serve slices too. It's in Liberty Place - so you can grab a table and a glass of local wine for a quick bite - or bring the kids. Great staff, great pizza!!

Just ordered take out. 1 small white sauce + cheese pizza, a Sicilian Chicken& bacon BBQ and a Alfredo chicken pasta. The white pizza and Pasta was really good. They took 20 minutes longer to deliver and they forgot the bacon on Sicilian but charged me? The sicilian also comes on 1.5 inches of doughy bread, not Pizza crust, despite me asking what a sicilian is?? I was not told that. Called them and they offered to remake the pizza... Nice but little too late.

Love this place-- they are our go to for delivery and eat-in while at the Market at Liberty Place. We have loved everything from the salads to the pizza and the hoagies. Free delivery is a bonus!

25+ minutes for an dine-in order of Lasagne, buffalo chicken cheesesteak and a damn cup of cream of mushroom soup to get to my table. It's one thing if it was super busy but alas, there was barely anyone there. The food itself was not too bad - it seemed that the lasagne was made in-house and not a frozen packaged item which is always nice. The sauce was pretty good as well, very flavorful and sweet. The cheesesteak was alright, certainly not the best I've had but not the worst. The cream of mushroom soup was tasty and warm and chock full of mushrooms. My only gripe revolves around the long wait, otherwise, the food itself ain't too shabby.

Great Brooklyn style thin crust pizza. My favorite local pizza place.

** UPDATE: The following day, the owner of State St. called me. He said he had no idea about the problem until his staff alerted him the next morning. He said that it was not handled properly. He apologized up and down and offered to reimburse me for the calzone, my entire order, provide a replacement order, or whatever I wanted to make it right. I will given them two additional stars because he followed up, was very nice and offered to make things right. I would try there again because it was good the first time I ordered from there.

I keep giving this place a chance and they keep falling short. Service is not the best. Very disappointing considering the other vendors in the Market. This time around I ordered 2 appetizers and was told 15 minutes. I have now been sitting here for 50 minutes with no hope that they have even started my food. Not good business.

One of my favorite Pizza places in Kennett Square. The pizza dough is made fresh daily and is the best! The chicken is not purchased pre-filleted and frozen. The croutons for the salad are made daily - not purchased. The owner makes as much of his food from scratch as he can. The Mushroom Soup is to die for. It is a thinner cream soup and the flavor is AMAZING! And like that famous fast food jingle ... "special orders won't upset us, all we ask is that you let us serve it your way" they won't mind if you switch things up a bit. Want breakfast for dinner? State Street Pizza make breakfast wraps & sandwiches all day long. Trying to cut back on the bread? They will put your sandwich on a plate instead. The staff is friendly and courteous. Delivery is available - but the atmosphere at The Market at Liberty Place begs you to come and sit for a while. On Friday's there is live music - and one of the staff will bring your food out to you while you sit and enjoy.

I was in Kennett Square on business and got tired of getting take out from Applebees so I decided to check out some local places. State Street Pizza & Grill is in a great location with several other small restaurants. It was dead when I went there (a Tuesday night), but it was still very quaint with a little market inside. The first night I had the Hawaiian pizza and it was very good. Good flavors, good crust, kind of New York style pizza. The next night I got a small cheesesteak stromboli, and it was just as good as the pizza. Just beware, they have a "mini" stromboli on their menu and it is anything but mini. Great prices too. Checked out their Facebook page and it looks like the owner is well liked and known for his talent in the community. All around good place, didnt give them 5 stars because the delivery took about an hour and the place was less than two minutes away from the hotel.
